What Is Walk & Talk Therapy?
Walk & Talk Therapy is a therapeutic approach where counseling sessions take place while walking outdoors rather than sitting in a traditional therapy office.
Your therapist will guide you through meaningful conversations focused on your goals, experiences, emotions, relationships, and personal growth while incorporating the benefits of movement and outdoor space.

What to Expect Before Your First Walk

Dress for Comfort
Wear clothing and shoes that allow you to move comfortably. Athletic shoes, comfortable layers, and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Your focus should be on your healing—not what you are wearing.

We Walk at Your Pace
Walk & Talk Therapy is not about exercise or fitness. Our focus is your therapeutic experience. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, whether that means a leisurely walk, sitting along the way, or taking moments to pause and reflect.

Weather Considerations
Because sessions take place outdoors, weather conditions may occasionally require us to move indoors. If the weather becomes unsafe or unsuitable, your session will continue as scheduled in my office to ensure your comfort, safety, and continuity of care.

Protecting Your Privacy
Confidentiality is an important part of therapy. While we take intentional steps to maintain privacy, outdoor settings naturally involve the possibility of encountering others. We will discuss how we navigate confidentiality, greetings, and interactions during your first session so you feel comfortable and informed.
